Among believers in Jerusalem.
The three monotheist religions together in one place, gives the ‘Holy Land’ its originality.
Pilgrims, religious rituals, holy books and places are all part of the scenery and characterize this territory ‘thrice-holy’.
Promised Land for some and intriguing to others, cities leave none indifferent, especially Jerusalem. Due to the fervor of the believers and the serenity of certain places, one is struck by what we see, what we hear or what we touch.
Among important places in Jerusalem, the Wailing Wall, also known as the Western Wall, is considered the holiest place for Jews. Every day, believers gather to pray.
By spending time among them, we realize the importance of the books of the Torah, or Books of Moses. Present in different forms, people use them, alone or in group, to recite, to study, to teach or to read excerpts.
Through this photographic project, I tried to capture the moments between believers and their books, while revealing the moments when everyone practices his faith.
